About us
The department of special education at Chonnam National University offers undergraduate and graduate programs in secondary special education. We have produced professionals in secondary special education including outstanding teachers, superintendents, school administrators, consultants, and researchers. Our program is designed to prepare prospective educators to teach secondary school students with mild to moderate disabilities, as well as those with severe and multiple disabilities in a variety of educational settings. We also focus on transition and post-school employment for persons with disabilities. In addition, we provide research opportunities related to secondary school students with disabilities.
Career
Students who graduate in this program will receive secondary special education teacher certification. The graduates work as special education teachers in a secondary school or disability rehabilitation center, as consultants, researchers in an academic institution, and as professors.
