About us
The Department of Ethics Education sets goals to achieve a better society by researching ethics, philosophy, anthropology, and reunification from moral education viewpoint for training competent moral and ethics teachers, realization of ‘Humanitat’(essense of human) in our modern society, training competent person through various theory ,and practicing of subject participate in the chalkface to cultivate talented teachers with desirable values in the rapidly changing contemporary Korean society.
To realize a ‘Qualiat’(quality of human) that is inevitable in human, enhancement of ‘Morali-eat’(morality), ‘Fkeiheit’(liverty) of theory in the chalkface, and justice in Eastern and Western ethics theory place on application of professional theory and cultivation of theory execution as a teacher.
Also, universality of ethics is based on the concepts such as “Korea in the world” and “Globalization in Korea”, Korean ethics for securing ‘Identitat’(identity) and ethical belief of our society, and North Korean ethics for educational resource what preparing of unification is part of Ethics Education.
Furthermore, Eastern and Western ethics and important theory and practice in the chalkface can be a clue for changing various conflict structure as political, economic, social problem in our society to reconciliation structure in sense and practice aspects.
Career
Students from this major are able to attain the certificate of a second-level regular teacher to become middle or high school moral and ethics teachers. Students can apply teacher certification exam and through this exam they are able to become teachers in national secondary schools. Graduates not only become secondary school teachers but also further their studies in graduate school of education and carry on an in-depth study of ethics or any other subject. They also become experts actively working as journalists, researchers, public administrators and civic workers.
