About us
The department of special education at Chonnam National University offers undergraduate and graduate programs in elementary special education. We have produced professionals in an elementary special education area including outstanding teachers, superintendents, school administrators, consultants, and researchers. Our program is designed to prepare prospective educators to teach individuals with disabilities including children(Grades 1-6) with mild to moderate disabilities as well as those with severe and multiple disabilities in a variety of educational settings. In addition, we provide opportunities to get research experiences of children with disabilities and professionals in special education.
Career
Students who graduate in this program will receive the elementary special education teacher certification. The graduates work as special education teachers in an elementary school or disability rehabilitation center, consultants, researchers in an academic institution, and professors.
